When doing performance marketing, you have to be data-driven by definition. What’s inside? What does the ad agency use internally?
In the world of remote work, asynchronous communication is critical. Additional seconds to create zoom calls, calendar events, new groups and topics for communication are critical for business.
Businesses have to separate channels by project, by department, by topic, by the client, by message type (updates). A well-thought-out logic of notifications, when you can be aware of important topics, but get lost in details only at will (Threads). We add all clients and partners who have Slack to our space (Slack Connect). We adhere to the logic of channel naming, which greatly simplifies the work with them.
Our top features of Slack:
-
creating a zoom-call directly in the chat, immediately to all participants of the given channel;
-
channels with updates, where only thematic updates arrive. For example, accounts receivable from finance or the movement of transactions through the funnel in CRM;
-
native integrations with Google, Hubspot CRM, Asana and whatever you can think of.
Slack is the perfect way to bring your entire team together. Here you can discuss everything: promotional briefs, the publication of a new version of the application, the latest news, or drinking together on Friday. Everything is structured by channels, there is personal correspondence for direct communication. In Slack, there are only those with whom you work – constantly in the editorial office (then the person will have all the rights) or periodically or only on specific projects (then the person will have access to only a few channels).
As a result, almost all work communication goes from mail and instant messengers to Slack – messengers remain primarily for personal life. We use the paid version of Slack: the free version allows you to connect to five third-party services and search the last 10 thousand messages. Neither one nor the other suits us: for example, we send 10 thousand messages in a few days.
Of course, there are also some disadvantages:
-
Slack in the free version limits the ability to search messages to 10 thousand. Earlier ones can no longer be found.
-
The paid version is quite expensive: from 400 to 760 rubles per month.
-
Although you can write posts in Russian, the interface is English.
-
On Linux, the application consumes a significant amount of RAM resources.
-
Video chat is very slow, as there is no own, and the integration with Hangouts is not well thought out.
-
In the free version, you cannot make group calls.
